x-ist participates with its 16 artists in the 10th Contemporary Istanbul Fair on November 12-15, 2015.
x-ist, presents a selection of brand new works of its 16 artists at the Contemporary Istanbul Fair to be held at the Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center on November 12-15, 2015.
At the booth A2-401, x-ist exhibit specially created works for the fair by Ahmet Polat, Ali Elmacı, Ali Bilge Akkaya, Ansen, Bahadır Baruter, Burcu Perçin, Burçin Başar, Cem Dinlenmiş, Ceren Oykut, Ekin Saçlıoğlu, Emin Mete Erdoğan, Engin Konuklu, Erkut Terliksiz, Murat Palta, Seda Hepsev and Serkan Adın.
Bahadır Baruter's new sculptures presented in a private project booth next to x-ist's main venue. After two year long research and production process, Baruter exhibits his new series titled 'Destiny' for the first time at CI'15.
The artist makes sculptures of bodies, which have lost their vitalness as fetuses or after birth, as imprisoned forms. The artist's new exhibition, which presents at Contemporary Istanbul, consists of works that question women and men, who have lost their lives before birth or actually turned into living dead after birth in business life's ambitious cycle full of obligations, in a form of begging to God as if part of a religious ritual with white suites referring to burial robes.
Emin Mete Erdoğan's exhibition "Entroforming" will also be open for visit simultaneously at x-ist until November 14.
