CANAN participated in the project "The Laboratory of the Future: TOGETHER / APART" by CSW (Centre for Contemporary Art) on 31 January 2013 in Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw. The project created as an active platform with a multi-layered structure including debates, workshops, conferences, lectures and artistic interventions focus on the society of future. CANAN attended a section on "Islam, Modernity and the Future" that analyses the phenomenon of Islamic feminism. She took place in the project with her video-animation "Exemplary" (2009) and her performance "Bashfulness". "The Laboratory of the Future: TOGETHER / APART" has been started in Autumn 2012 and will continue till Spring 2013.
