CANAN is participating in the exhibition titled "In which language shall I tell my tale?" that takes place in the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam, Netherlands between 15 September 2012 - 13 February 2013. Canan's video work in the show, “Exemplary” underlines the influence and power of structures, such as family, religion and the state, upon being a female in present-day society. The exhibition brings together ten artists from Turkey and the Netherlands which recount their stories with themes such as identity, origins, migration, changing social structures, perception of time as a measurable phenomenon, and dreams of a better future.

Other artists that participate in the exhibition from Turkey are Cevdet Erek, Mehmet Güleryüz, Nilbar Güreş, Seyit Battal Kurt, Şükran Moral, Yildiz Moran Arun, Erkan Özgen & Şener Özmen and Ahmet Polat.
