Cem Dinlenmiş, Her Şey Olur 2013

The third edition of the annual album book of Cem Dinlenmiş has been launched on 20th of December, 2013. "Anything Goes 2013", summarizes every social event occurred during 2013, including the Gezi Protests. He draws Her Şey Olur on a weekly basis in PENGUEN, a popular humour magazine in Turkey. The phrase "her şey olur" means "anything goes." The function of the project in brief is to illustrate common incidents from the world, particularly from Turkey while associating them in an unusual way, combining several scenes in one panel without borders. Inspired by infographic imagery like maps, diagrams and schematic comics, the ever-changing graphic language sometimes appears to be sequential and sometimes totally mixed-up. Frequent references are computer games, public education cliches, internet culture and stuff that the artists' generation is mostly familiar with. The first edition of "Anything Goes" including the first 4 years was published in 2011.
